Using the indoor and outdoor environment I will know about similarities and differences in relation to places, objects, materials and living things. I will be able to take part in explorations and investigations at different times of the year giving me the chance to notice change as time passes. From first hand experience I will be able to talk about the features of my own immediate environment and how environments might vary from one another.
I will have the opportunity to make predictions, try things out and come to some conclusions and even give reasons as to why I think things happen. I can share these discoveries with friends and sometimes I will record what I see and find out by drawing, writing or recording digitally.
I can recognise the range of technology used every day in my home and at school and select and use technology for particular purposes.
I will be able to talk about special moments and events I have shared with my family. I will know that other children don’t always enjoy the same things, and am sensitive to this. I will begin to know more about similarities and differences between myself and others, and among families, communities and traditions.
