Football
We have two football teams set up this year playing in leagues. Year 5 and Year 6 are enjoying the challenge.
Year 5 have played first their first game in the league and lost to last year’s champions Corithian 6-2. The scoreline was a harsh reflection of the fantastic effort the boys put in, as the weather conditions were gale force wind and torrential rain. This had a big impact on the out come. We also had some talented Year 4 boys playing who played really well. Credit also has to go to Corrinthan who scored some fantastic goals.
Year 6 represented our school in the Premier League Football at the Liverpool Academy. They played some fantastic football won one, drew two and lost two.
Year 3 represented our school at an Everton FC tournament and played some brilliant football. They finished second in the group.
Year 2 represented our school at a Liverpool FC tournament and played really well and scored some great goals.
Indoor Athletics

jess
Read this fantastic report about a very talented pupil called Jessica Pindar. Jessica is currently in year 6 and has unique talent in Golf.
Well done Jessica. This is such a incredible achievement. We look forward to seeing you continue to shine and develop into a future star.

Jess started playing golf 3 years ago by having lessons at Allerton Golf Course.

She joined Eccleston Park Golf Club in February 2015 due to the strength of their junior section. Eccleston entered Jess into the National Tiger Club Championships at Gainsborough Golf Club, Lincolnshire. Jess entered the 9-11 year old (aged 9 at the time) category which was open to boys and girls, she finished 4th overall and the highest placed girl.

Jess joined the Lancashire Ladies County Golf Association in July 2015.

Jess’ first competition with the LLCGA was at Royal Lytham St Annes. She finished 3rd out of 25 girls in the 9-14 age group (aged 9) missing out on first place by just two points.

Her second competition with the LLCGA was at Hart Common. Jess (aged 9) finished first place in the 9-14 category.

Her final LLCGA competition of 2015 was also at Hart Common. Jess was again in the 9-14 age category, she scored 72 points over 18 holes and this turned out to be the highest points total in Lancashire Ladies history.

On 10th April 2016, Jess won her Regional qualifier at the Wee Wonders competition by 11 shots! She then went on to play in the regional finals and qualified for the National Finals at St Andrews Golf Course, Scotland. At the home of golf Jess finished 17th out of 187 girls.

On Sunday 17th April Jess returned to Royal Lytham St Annes with the LLCGA. Jess was again in the 9-14 years category (aged 10) and there was a field of 18 girls. Jess finished 1st with a fantastic 58 points.

On 9th and 10th August Jess took part in the US Kids British Open at Woodhall Spa. She played brilliantly and finished 4th. Due to her high finish she has been invited to play on the Italian, Portuguese and French tours as well as a competition in Australia.

A week later Jess was back in Lincolnshire playing in the American Golf National Finals after she won her regional qualifier. It was for players aged 10-18 years old and Jess finished 5th and even appeared on Sky Sports 4.

To top the summer off Jess won her first major at Eccleston Park. This means she gets her name on the honours wall and her name on the trophy, she is the first ever girl to do this at the club!
