Welcome Back!

Have a look at some of the amazing activities we have been up to in the Autumn Term so far 🙂

In our ICT lessons we have learning how to create and use branching data bases. We have also been working on our typing skills using a fun website called dance mat typing.

In our English lessons we have been exploring the wonderful book ‘Christophe’s Story’. We have produced some fantastic pieces of independent writing including an informal letter and a diary entry.

In Science we have been learning about states of matter and how they can change. We have  had fun creating our own models of the 3 states of matter using children in the class!

We have been lucky enough to enjoy judo lessons with a professional judo coach this half term.

In R.E we have been exploring the topic of God, David and the Psalms. We enjoyed the story of David and Goliath and reflected on times in our own lives when we had to show bravery and perseverance.

We enjoyed some drama lessons based on our English text ‘Christophe’s Story’.

In art we learnt about the origins of the ‘Willow Pattern’ design and the story behind it. We created our own willow pattern plates using blue ink.

We also researched the artist/sculptress Barbara Hepworth and looked at her work in soap carving. We tried some soap carvings of our own.
