What is E-Safety?
E-Safety – Electronic Safety
E-Safety promotes the safe use of information systems and electronic communications. E-Safety encompasses not only internet technologies but also electronic communications via mobile phones, games consoles and wireless technology.
Why Is E-Safety Important?
We live in a digital age where technology is playing an ever increasing part in our lives; it is changing the way that we do things both inside and outside of school and although we recognise the benefits of technology we must also be aware of the potential risks and ensure that all governors, staff, pupils and parents/carers and the wider community associated with the school, are able to use technology in a safe and responsible manner.
We take E-Safety very seriously at St.Anne’s. Our aim is to encourage all children to understand the huge benefits of using the internet, whilst also highlighting any possible risks they may encounter, and how to deal with them.

We are proud to be a Digital Parenting member of Parent Zone.
To some parents, the internet can seem like a bit of minefield. With new technology emerging all the time, it can be hard to stay up to date and – more importantly – it can be hard to stay ahead of the kids.
Paul Bradshaw, Schools Improvement Liverpool:

They provide a range of high-quality materials (including the free Vodafone Digital Parenting magazine and Digital Parenting Membership resources) that can complement a school’s approach to e-safeguarding.’
The Vodafone Digital Parenting Guide covers every area of the modern web and mobile internet you can think of; from apps and games to location services and online videos. If your online knowhow needs a bit of a refresh, or if you’re just keen to know the tricks to staying safe, look no further!
