Welcome to Year Six.
Welcome to the 6C class page. We hope you enjoy looking at a snapshot of our fun packed curriculum.
Children will be given English and maths homework each week. Please encourage your child to complete their homework and to read every night (3 times a week with their books and twice on Reading Plus).
Please visit our class page as often as you can as we hope to post regular updates of the children’s achievements throughout the year. If you have any concerns or questions about your child’s progress, please come and see me, I am always happy to speak to parents and carers.
It’s going to be a fun year in Y6!

Family event with Ian Fennelly
Ian Fennelly, a well known local artist, came to school to work with our children and their families in a one day workshop. We created our own coral reef which linked to our geography topic ‘Are we damaging our world?’ It was a fabulous experience.
Clap your hands together it’s harvest time!
Our Day Out.
A big thank you should be given to Tony @merseyrail and Billy@merseytravel for a fantastic day out for our Year 6 children. We used public transport to get around our Mersey region and visited the inside of the Mersey Tunnels. This day out covered every area of our curriculum and helped our children gain confidence and independence. Buses, trains, trains, ferries, maths, English, geography, history, art, PSHE, citizenship…… the list is endless. More importantly it was fun and fabulous!
Look at us rock climbing and abseiling in our playground.
We love to cook in our DT lessons. Shepherd’s Pie mmmmmmmmmmmm!
