Sublime Science in Y2

Today we visited the Playhouse Theatre to celebrate Chinese New Year. There was music, dance and drama.

Our history topic has been about Guy Fawkes and The Gunpowder Plot in 1605. To show what we have learnt we did some presentations in groups and made video recordings. Our presentations included a rap, poem, songs and pictures. These pictures show how we planned our presentations.

In our Science lessons we have been learning about ‘Changing Shape’. Look at what we made by bending, twisting, squashing and stretching.

We also tested how stretchy different materials are. Mrs Carlsen’s tights were the most stretchy!

To celebrate Black History Month we took part in some African dance and drumming sessions.  We had a wonderful time displaying our talents!!

In our Computing lessons we have been designing our own App games in ‘We are Games Testers’ unit of work. This links to our Science topic of Feeding and Exercise.
